The Northwest Institute for Leadership and Change (NWILC)'s purpose is to promote community empowerment, conduct research, and provide data and analysis on leadership and systemic change issues.

The Institute's mission is to effect positive change, with a focus on the Northwest, by enhancing and developing leaders, and empowering communities for the next century.

We focus on:

  • Providing a conceptual framework for community enhancement and development
  • Apprising leadership about the pertinent issues confronting communities
  • Teaching area residents how to positively effect change, and
  • Creating a cadre of knowledgeable, courageous leaders capable of guiding communities through the 21st century.

The Institute strives to achieve greater involvement of the intelligent, concerned lay public in questions of community development, educational reform, public policy and the role of government. The principles of individual, economic and political freedom; private enterprise; representative government; and full and equal access and participation by all people are fundamental parts of the founder's vision. The NWILC has provided fiscal agent services to several partnership projects over the years totaling more than $300,000.
