Fiscal Agency Partnerships

The ELEVATE Direct Impact Dollars (DID) Initiative

The ELEVATE DID Initiative is an extension of the ELEVATE Movement. It provides Pathway participants, attendees of both ELEVATE Events, along with other committed African-American community members of the greater Seattle area, the opportunity to participate in a money-pooling opportunity that leverages the power of our collective dollars to directly impact and financially empower African-American owned businesses.

Black Education Strategy Roundtable of Washington

The Black Education Strategy Roundtable (BESR)

The BESR is a volunteer-led coalition of African American individuals, groups, organizations and other committed individuals that have been actively advocating for and providing information to policy makers at all levels about the disparate conditions of educational achievement for Black students in the state of Washington, which impacts all facets of life and our communities.

The partnership with the Roundtable provided a nonprofit 501(c)3 fiscal agent for the receipt of private grant funds for the operation of a statewide nonprofit organization with a focus on improving educational outcomes for African American/Black students in 2014.

The Washington State Commission on African American Affairs (WSCAA)

NWILC partnered with AAAC as its Fiscal Agent to receive, retain, record, and disburse donated funds to the Commission from January 2007- June 2011.

The partnership with the Commission allowed this small state agenda to solicit tax-deductable private funds and grants to carry out its advocacy for educational excellence and equitable outcomes for African American students in the State of Washington.
